Awesome Day at the Beach

These past few days, we have been mainly at the beach. On Friday we had my mom's friend Aunt Peng come over from Toronto, Canada, to visit us. She brought us some chocolates, cookies, and maple candy. We went to the beach with her and walked to the tide pools. It was low tide and we looked for crabs in the rocks.

We waded through the water to get to a sand bar. The water came up to my waist. The water was cold so wading was not that fun. The sand bar was pretty big and there was a lot of space to play in the sand. Jeffrey felt a crab buried underneath the sand, and when I tried to grab it it pinched me on the thumb. We waded back to get a net, but when we got back we couldn't find it. When we left the sand bar, the tide was coming in, so the water was even deeper and colder. Then we played in the tide pools, where the water was warmed up by the sun.

After that, we picked up dad from the train station and went to Woodman's for fish 'n chips. I got popcorn shrimp, Jeffrey & Maia got haddock, and Joseph got chicken fingers. Joseph didn't like the chicken fingers, so he had some fish.

After dinner, Auntie Peng treated us to Gifford's ice cream, which was in a stand beside Woodman's. I got quarterback crunch, Jeffrey got cookie dough, Joseph got Wicked Good Chocolate, and Maia got strawberry. Here are some pictures of us with our ice cream.
